Technical Details

Electro-pneumatic (EP) pitman chests.

Three manuals. 4 divisions. 42 stops. 53 registers. 47 ranks. 3022 pipes. Manual compass is 61 notes. Pedal compass is 32 notes.

The organ is in side chambers at the front of the room, with visible façade pipes or case front. Traditional style console with roll top. The console is in a fixed position, left.

Drawknobs in vertical rows on angled jambs. Balanced swell shoes/pedals, standard AGO placement. Adjustable combination pistons. AGO Standard (concave radiating) pedalboard.


  • Originally demonstrator organ in Kimball Hall in Chicago [1933]. The Deagan Chimes were playable from the organ console and from a keyboard placed in the church secretary's office. Virgil Fox played two identical dedicatory recitals on October 18, 1940. (OHS PC Database. October 30, 2004)
