From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders,, rev. ed., by David H. Fox (Organ Historical Society, 1997). -

Son of Dr. Eliphalet Downer; in western Pennsylvania, c. 1785; operated grist mill, saw mill, and cotton spinning machines near Fayette City, Pennsylvania; chamber organs. died 1838 in Downer-s Run, Pennsylvania.
