King; in New York City, New York, 1849; apprentice with Erben and Robjohn firms of New York City, New York; with Robjohn firm in Elmira, New York, 1862; operated firm in Elmira, New York, 1865; partner with son William B. King, 1889; firm bankrupt, 1900; relocated to Chicago, Illinois, 1900; representative of Hook & Hastings of Kendal Green, Massachusetts, in Chicago, Illinois; retired 1918; died 1 Oct. 1923 in Chicago, Illinois.
