David W. Skinner formed a partnership with James E. Miller in Miller-Skinner Organ Co. of Bourbonnais, Illinois in 1968, the firm relocated to Manteno, Illinois, at some point before it closed in 1972. After the partnership ended, Skinner operated his own firm, David W. Skinner Organ Co., in Manteno, Illinois; it was active until at least 1987.
