Ernest M. Skinner first operated his own firm as Ernest M. Skinner & Co. (1902), succeeded by E. M. Skinner (1904); which was incorporated as Skinner Organ Co., 1919; in 1932 Skinner Organ Co. merged with the pipe organ division of Aeolian Corporation to form Aeolian-Skinner Organ Co.
