Cornel Zimmer was born 13 June, 1961 in Potchefstrom, South Africa; he is the son of Franz J. Zimmer, and brother of Paul Zimmer. He worked with the family firm of W. Zimmer & Sons of Charlotte, North Carolina, 1988, treasurer.
