Native of Owatonna, Minnesota. Having completed undergraduate work in church music with Catherine Rodland at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, he went on to do his master’s degree at the Eastman School of Music with David Higgs in organ performance. Following graduate work, he worked as an apprentice with Richards, Fowkes & Co. of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In the fall of 2016, Draeger began work as an organ builder with Roland Rutz in the Southern Minnesota and the greater Twin Cities area.
