Updated through on-line information from Michael B. Herzog. -- The organ was first altered in the 1970s in an effort to modernize the tonal performance. Since then several projects have taken place to restore the Austin mechanism, the Klann console, and to reduce the impact of the 1970s tonal work. The Echo Organ is unplayable.
