Database Manager on May 28, 2007:

Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Church was originally built as Hunter Street Baptist. At the time of my visit in Sept. 1987, the property had just changed hands and the new congregation had renamed the church Sardis Baptist. The organ had three prepared-for ranks (all reeds): a 16' Contra Fagotto/8' Fagotto on the Swell, and and 8' Krummhorn and 8' Bombarde on the Choir. With these additions the organ would be 27 registers, 41 speaking stops, 32 ranks, and 1,946 pipes.
