Database Manager on January 11, 2010:

Updated through on-line information from David Cohen. -- The couplers are actuated by motors which engage pull-downs between the two manuals, and between manuals and pedal. They are actually Volkswagen windshield wiper motors! Also, the pedal action is electro-pneumatic. Only when the manual to pedal couplers are engaged is there any kind of mechanical linkage involved, so the organ might be said to have a "hybrid" tracker action. Overall, the instrument is a joy to play!
