Database Manager on October 09, 2013:

Updated through online information from Lynn Thompson. -- This instrument was commissioned by the student body of Western Illinois State Normal School as a memorial to President Alfred Bayliss who died tragically in 1911. The auditorium that housed this instrument is in Sherman Hall, the first building on the campus (1902). The organ has vanished without a trace, and as of this writing (September 29, 2013) I have found no one who has any knowledge of when it was removed or what happened to it. The school was later known as Western Illinois State Teachers College and is now Western Illinois University.
