Originally installed in the old George & York Streets (then George Street United Baptist Church) location in 1929; moved in 1965 to the congregation's new facility at 536 Northumberland St., at which time the church was renamed Grace Memorial Baptist Church; it was named after Grace Matheson, a longtime church member who served as a missionary in India for more than 44 years.
