Paul R. Marchesano on October 27, 2022:

This church was founded i n 1804. The present building was patterned after City Road Chapel, London, England; and was dedicated December 25, 1831. At that time, it was the largest meeting house west of the Allegheny Mountains. It now stands as the oldest religious edifice in Cincinnati. Changes in physical appearance of the building have been few. The cathedral glass windows elate from about 1885 to 1888. The front of the sanctuary was altered at the time of installation of the organ. The balcony pews are original. -- 1965 OHS Handbook
