Andrew E Henderson on January 19, 2022:

This instrument was evidently second-hand and replaced an ailing, ill-fated organ installed 3 years previously. The facade from that instrument, dating originally from 1848, was retained. According to Peter Snyder, organist of the church from 1951 to 1986, the organ was entirely enclosed in one swell box. The fate of this instrument is unknown, replaced by a new Keates organ in 1951.
