NOTES
The façade contains 10 pipes of the Great 8' Principal (FF – D#), and the first 15
pipes of the Pedal 8' Principal. The first 12 notes of the Pedal 16' Rohr Bordun
are from the 16' Subbass on soft wind with the balance from the Swell 8' Rohrflute.
As originally built, the organ had 14 voices, 28 stops including chimes, 18 ranks,
and 1,097 pipes. The chimes were later replaced by the present 4-bell Zimbelstern.
During the Marceau & Associates work, the old relays and console components were
replaced with Syndyne ™ solid state controls. The original stops had been tilting
tablets, and were converted to Harris rocker tablets.
On the Great, the only addition was to borrow the Swell 16' Rohr Bordun to the Great.
The Enclosed Great to Great 4' coupler actually affects all of the Great stops; be
they indigenous or borrowed from the Swell. The Great 1-1/3' Nasat was engraved as
a 2-2/3' Nasat, and was an extension of the Swell 2-2/3' Nasard.
On the Swell, the original 4' Flach Flöte was revoiced to be a 4' Octave, and an 8'
Principal was derived from it. The bottom octave was borrowed from the 8' Spitz Gamba.
The added 1-3/5' Tierce was taken from the Rohrflute unit.
On the Pedal, three additional stops were borrowed from the manuals: Great 8' Gedackt,
Swell 8' Spitz Gamba, and Swell 8' Hautbois.
In the 2019-2020 work by Puget Sound Pipe Organs, the Harris stop controls were replaced
with new Syndyne stop magnets and tablets. The number of speaking stops was increased
with several added stops as borrows or extensions. The Zimbel Stern was removed from
the stop rail and is now controlled by a reversible finger piston and toe stud. Pedal
divisional finger pistons and toe studs were added as was the Sforz. finger piston and
toe stud. Additional couplers were added including a Swell to Great Melody coupler. And
an Auto Pedal was added as an illuminated piston. The original Swell 4' Flach Flöte which
had been re-purposed as a 4' Principal was returned to use as a Flach Flöte also now
playable at 2' on the Swell. In 2020, a 4' Prinzipal was added to the Swell on a new chest.
This also plays as the Swell 8' Prinzipal with 1-12 borrowed from the 8' Spitz Gamba and 8'
Rohr Flöte both. And a 32' Resultant was added to the Pedal.
