NOTES
The \"new\" organ is a redesign and rebuild of Balcom and Vaughan's Opus
821, built in 1976 for 15th Church of Christ, Scientist in Seattle. It
had been a 3-manual instrument of 19 voices, 53 stops, 21 ranks, and
1,391 pipes; and had some extensive unification.
For the First Baptist rebuild, all of the 15th C.S. chests were retained
and refurbished as were all 21 ranks, although not all of the extension
pipework for the unification was retained. First Baptist's existing 2-
manual console was retained, and a handful of original 1908 Kimball
stopped wood pipes from their previous instrument were incorporated into
the present instrument.
