Technical Details

Slider chests. Mechanical key action. Mechanical stop action.

Two manuals. 3 divisions. 17 stops. 14 registers. 14 ranks. 666 pipes. Manual compass is 56 notes. Pedal compass is 25 notes.

The organ is in a floor-level case at the rear of the room. Traditional style console with a keyboard cover that can be lifted to form a music rack. The organ has an attached keydesk.

Drawknobs in horizontal rows on terraced/stepped jambs. Trigger/hitch-down swell. No combination action. Flat straight pedalboard.

  • Hitchdown Swell replaced by balanced Swell, and horizontal shades made vertical. Renovated by Andover 1963, #R-22, 2-14. Historic Organs Recital 27 Aug 1988. (OHS PC Database. October 30, 2004)
  • Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- 3-sectional case with 17 pipes arranged: 5-7-5. Facade pipes once stenciled, now painted gold. Case likely once faux-grained. Now painted white. The Swell is essentially 39 notes with an unenclosed, 17-note 8' St. Diap'n Bass and 4' Principal Bass. (Database Manager. September 26, 2007)
