Born 26 December, 1785, in Boston, Massachusetts; brother-in-law of William Goodrich; with William Goodrich of Boston, Massachusetts; partner in Hayts, Babcock, & Appleton of Boston, 1812-1815, pianos; in successor MacKay & Co. of Boston, 1815-1820; partner with Thomas D. Warren in Appleton & Warren of Boston, 1847-1850; in Reading, Massachusetts, 1850; briefly partner with Horatio Davis in Appleton & Davis of Reading, 1856; retired 1869; died 11 July 1872 in Reading, Massachusetts.
