Scot L. Huntington was with Schlicker Organ Co. of Buffalo, New York, 1975-76 during college; afterwards with A. David Moore firm of North Pomfret, Vermont, 1977-80; then with George Bozeman, Jr., & Co. of Deerfield, New Hampshire, 1980-82; with Zuckermann Harpsichords of Stonington, Connecticut, 1982-1983; partner of David Jacques Way in Huntington & Way of Stonington, Connecticut, 1982, He formed S. L. Huntington & Co., 1988; the firm was active as of April 2016.

Huntington describes his firm as "Specializing in the construction of new historically inspired pipe organs and the thoughtful restoration of instruments of all styles and specifically American instruments of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries."
