John B. Didinger and Julius Neef, principals. By 1902 it appears Neef was out of the picture and the firm seems to have ceased operations. Shop was located at 1022 Buttonwood Street in Philadelphia [building survives, is currently converted to condominiums.] The company and principal were sometimes referred to as "Dittinger" in some newspapers, hence prior discrepancies in builder attribution and number of instruments.
