Brother of Cornelius and Hilborne Roosevelt; attend St. John's School of Ossining, New York; graduate of Trinity College of Hartford, Connecticut, 1883; with Roosevelt Organ Company of New York City, New York, 1883, office work; succeeded Hilborne as head of firm, 1886; captain in New York State National Guard; closed organ firm, 1893; continued LeClanche Battery Co. and other business activities; died February 2, 1895 in New York City, New York.
