Henry and Ignatius Tellers and William A. Sommerhoff had worked together at A.B. Felgemaker of Erie, Pennsylvania, from 1892 to 1906 when they left to form their own firm.

When Sommerhoff left the concern (circa 1917), another former Felgemaker employee, Albert E. Kent became a partner and the firm became Tellers-Kent. Tellers-Kent went bankrupt in 1933.
