January, 1919 - A committee and Fund was formed to purchase a pipe organ for the church. The 1919 Pilcher Pipe organ remains in operation today.


Andrew Byrd on June 14th, 2026:

According to a January 6, 1967, article in "The State" newspaper, the organ was damaged when the church was struck by lightning in 1966. The organ was repaired in 1967 by Elmer C. Ross.
