Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for the Savoy Theatre in Eugene, Oregon. The organ was transplanted to Columbian Presbyterian sometime in the 1930s and installed as is without tonal or mechanical changes. In 1953, Grace Presbyterian was forced to merge with Columbian at Columbian's building, and the church was renamed Madrona Presbyterian. The primaries were electrified in the 1970s by Richard Warburton, and the organ chassis was moved without its case to a recessed chamber at the center, front of the room. A used Kilgen "Imperial" console was installed. That was replaced in 1997 by Jim Stettner using a used Balcom and Vaughan console from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Olympia, which the Madrona congregation acquired for $1.000.00.
