Sam Cherubin on November 11th, 2020:
After the 2019 Palm Sunday crypt fire, the Great Organ is "unplayable" due to the unknown amount of soot and smoke damage done to the pipe work above the Great Choir. As of 2020, the organ is expected to be fully cleaned and restored, once again, pending insurance claims and ability to secure funding to restore the organ. Estimated time back online is within a few years.

Database Manager on May 24th, 2019:
Updated by Sam Cherubin, who has heard or played the organ. State Trumpet was re-installed in April 2019 after six-years of silence because of survey work and stabilization of the west end wall following the August 2011 earthquake. <br>Bottom 12 notes of 32\' Contre Ophicleide are silenced due to instability of the pipework, it is unknown if they will ever speak again.
