While carrying out regular tunings, on a tight time schedule, 2018, 2019. It appears that more than a few ranks date from the original 1817 Hall organ. A greater survey will be needed, but the pipes in question do not match that of my experience with Roosevelt organs, but appear to be of much older.
There seems to have been a fair amount of straightening of pipes, during the Andover or Schantz renovations. The reed pipes are in remarkably nice condition, from their outward appearance, but was told there was no money, during the renovations, to restore them for tuning stablity, they are difficult to tune.
Replaced by Roosevelt in 1884, which was rebuilt by Schantz 1989 as EP. Casework forms center portion of present [1991] case.
