Identified through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- "The Gratian Organ Builders," 1922, includes a testimonial from Rev. A. F. Ostrop, Pastor, "I am rejoiced to have the opportunity of giving my testimony in regard to your work as a successful organ builder. Having had personal experience with your organs for sixteen years, and with yourself as an organist, I can freely say that you possess all the qualification in a very marked degree that I should think are necessary to make a good organ builder. The organ you made for me in Alton, Illinois, in 1861, and afterwards enlarged by the addition of a swell manual, has always given satisfaction." This organ was enlarged to two manuals in 1893.
