This instrument is: Extant and Playable in this location

Database Manager on July 13th, 2017:

This is a new home for an organ that was altered when it was moved from another location. Identified by Barry Bierwirth, who has heard or played the organ. There is a nameplate which states it was rebuilt by Felgemaker in 1895. Original action, stops, etc. are all functional. There is perhaps one added stop, a Trumpet 8' on the Swell......at least it has a new label on the stop. The Trumpet may have been in the organ originally. I could not determine exactly who the original builder was.

Editor (July 28, 2024): Felgemaker did NOT install this organ at Zion in 1895. Where and for whom Felgemaker rebuilt the organ is not known. The organ was installed at Zion in 1926 by the Treu Pipe Organ Co. Where Treu obtained the instrument is also not known.

Related Instrument Entries: Treu Pipe Organ Co. (1926) , Michael Quimby (1970)
