This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.

Identified by James R. Stettner, listing this web site as a source of information: https://zionjohnstown.org/history.html.
According to the 'History' page of the parish website, "In the summer of 1886, at the suggestion of the choir and the pastor, a large church organ was purchased and installed for $1,400."

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Also according to the 'History' page of the parish website, "May 31, 1889 heavy rains caused the 450 acre dam on the property of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club to break. The church, the educational building, and the parsonage were destroyed."
