In 2002, RJH School of Nursing Alumnae Association joined with Vancouver Island Health Authority and the Greater Victoria Hospital Foundation to restore historic Pemberton Memorial Chapel in conjunction with the construction of a new Diagnostic & Treatment wing for the hospital. School of Nursing alumna Muriel Shaw, widow of John Shaw, donated her husband's Casavant house organ for the chapel, which was moved from their music room to the chapel's small gallery.
