Jim Stettner on January 17th, 2022:
This entry represents the installation of a used organ from another institution, based upon information on the Andover Organ Co. website. This organ was acquired from Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Shrewsbury which closed. It wasoriginally built for the Methodist church in West Abington, MA. Ca. 1940 it was relocated to the rear gallery of the Congregational church in Abington, MA. It wa altered by the Andover Organ Co. ca. 1977 when it was moved from the rear gallery to the front of the church. And it was then relocated to Mt. Olivet Lutheran in Shrewsbury, MA. in 1983.
