In tandem with planning for the commissioning of a new nave organ, discussions began around the need for an additional organ, including with Halbert Gober Organbuilder, then of Elora, Ontario, Canada. In 2003 Gober submitted a design and proposed specifications for a freestanding chancel organ. The organ was never built, but in 2005 a smaller, 7-rank organ, built as a group of 5, was installed in the chancel, designed to be movable.
