Paul R. Marchesano on September 22nd, 2025:
from theatre website: In the 1970s, when it was feared the theater would be torn down, the organ was purchased and removed by Dr. Ed Simmons. It later came into the hands of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society, who assisted in its care and moving it from Atlanta back to Savannah. For years, the Lucas Theatre's chambers remained empty and the organ sat in a warehouse. As part of SCAD's ongoing commitment to historic preservation across its university locations, including its 100-year commemoration of the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, the organ has been reinstalled and restored to its full glory.

Jacob Woods on April 22nd, 2023:
Organ rebuilt by A.E. Schlueter and reinstalled in the Lucas Theatre, now at 18 ranks, with a typical modern specification, and modern console finish. Unveiled on the 15th of April 2023 with Ken Double at the console.
