The article states that the organ was in a case of the Ionic order of architecture, has two banks of keys, 20 stops including couplers.
This organ was built during the time Pomplitz was in partnership with organist H. Rodewald, a church musician in Baltimore. It has not been revealed if Rodewald had any mechanical hand in the business, or was just a financial backer. He came from an upper middle class family.
This church building was sold to the Fountain Baptist Church, sometime in the early 20th century, as the Lutheran congregation moved to a new building at 30th & Hillen St.
Photos, displayed on an older Fountain web site shows the interior of the church in 1960s and 1970s. A dark classical designed case with a large center arch, typical of the 1850s is shown, but in later photos the interior has been renovated and the organ case is gone.
