"NEW ORGAN DEDICATED, With Appropriate Services at Christ Church Last Evening. There gathered in Christ church last evening a large audience to attend the dedication services of the new organ presented by Mrs. Herbert Francis Mann as a memorial to her husband who died last summer. It represents the highest development in modern organ building. The action is tubular pneumatic throughout. with the console reversed. It has 1341 pipes. (23 speaking stops, 17 couplers and mechanical accessories, and two manuals and pedals: compass of manuals CC to C4, 61 notes; compass of pedals CCC to F, 30 notes, 2½ octaves. The front decoration is invisible because the organ is placed in a recess. Those who attended last evening were unanimous in praise of the instrument and congratulated the members of the church on its good fortune."
