The church had a history of being struck by lightning. This organ was installed in the fifth church building on the site.

Church rebuilt after 1907 fire. Announced in the newspapers in 1908, dedicated May 30, 1909. "The organ will have nearly 1000 pipes..." See DOCUMENTS tab for articles reporting the organ.
