This specification describes the Kohl organ as it was installed in the congregation's 1965 building prior to its replacement with Moller Opus 5261. The Kohl instrument had been retained when the congregation demolished their 1860 building to replace it with the 1965 building on the same site. (source = "Webster Through the Years" by Esther Dunn) The organ was composed largely of what appear to be supply house components. Other components were exceptionally crude. For example the console switch stack was composed of reused orange crate slats. The grower's logo was plainly visible in bright inks. No attempt had been made to sand or shellac the wood for organ use. The supply house chests appeared ill-suited to the pipework planted thereon. For example, Bourdon pipes were rotated at crazy angles to avoid hitting each other.
