Andrew Henderson on June 9th, 2023:

From The Windsor Star (February 1, 1955): "The pipe organ at St. Paul's has an interesting history. Many years ago, a pneumatic pipe organ was acquired for St. Paul's at the corner of Victoria and Tecumseh, where the Dominion Bank now stands. After a few years this old organ was electrified and served up to the opening of the present building on October 16, 1949, at which time it was dismantled and the blower and pipes were stored in anticipation of the time when they could be incorporated in a new pipe organ. For the first five years in the new building a small electric reed organ was used. Funds were collected for a new organ and the contract awarded to William F. Legge, organ builder of Burford, Ont., July, 1953."
