Paul R. Marchesano on July 28th, 2026:

Theatre Organ Magazine ran an article about a recording on this organ in 1980. See DOCUMENTS tab for article.

Jim Stettner on July 24th, 2026:

This entry represents the installation of a used organ. Identified through online information from Ian Mason [July 21, 2026]. Originally installed in the Downer Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1927 as a Style E. Relocated at an unconfirmed date to the Lutheran Church in Ionia, MI. where "The Lutheran Hour" broadcasts originated and heard on the program.

Relocated once again here to the Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada residence of Gordon and Thelma Gillette, again at an unknown date. A commercial recording was made on the organ in the Gillette residence by Frank Olsen, likely in the 1960's.

According to submitted text from Ian Mason, "It reputedly was later transferred to the Windsor (ON) Theatre Organ Society. In conversation with two long-time organists and organbuilders of the Chatham and Windsor, ON area, they informed me that, to their knowledge, there was never such an entity as the Windsor Theatre Organ Society."

Related Instrument Entries: The Rudolph Wurlitzer Co. , Unknown Builder (ca. 1930's [?])
