Jeff Scofield on August 2nd, 2023:
The original organ was installed in 1912. In 1950, Casavant provided a new console and converted the original tubular-pneumatic action to electro-pneumatic action. Casavant rebuilt the 1950 console with solid-state systems in 2012, at which time they reinstated the Pedal Subbass 16’-8’ (using vintage pipes and windchest), added a new Pedal Contra Trombone 32’, revoiced the Pedal Trombone 16’, and borrowed the Great DOD 16’ to the Pedal at 16’, 8’ and 4’ pitches to create a principal chorus. Casavant added the Trompette en chamade 8’ in the back gallery in 2015.
