Rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by T. Daniel Hancock, using information found in The Stopt Diapason, August 1982.
-- The Stopt Diapason, August 1982, reports that the organ had been significantly modified by 1965, and that the Berghaus rebuild of 1970 was essentially a new instrument, with new manual chests, added pedal chests, new action with aluminum trackers up to the rollerboards, and mostly new pipework. The original Pedal Subbass 16' was retained, as were the speaking and dummy facade pipes (probably intended for a later addition of a 16' Prinzipal in the Pedal), the case, and some pedal chests. "The walkboards have been made out of the tables of old chests. The Hauptwerk (bottom manual) keyfronts are straight; the Chor keyfronts are chamfered. The stopjambs are original and may have been respaced, with the original shanks now furnished with new drawknobs."
