Jim Stettner on July 14th, 2025:
Updated through online information from Mark A. Smith (June 30, 2025): According to Richard Lansing's "Organs and Organists at St. Luke's Church", St. Lukes Lifeline of April 1987, the Hall & Erben instrument was replaced by an Appleton & Warren organ in 1850. This same source states that the Appleton & Warren was renovated in 1867, at which time a "chime of bells" and several ranks were added.

Database Manager on June 24th, 2018:
The second organ in this building was installed in 1848 after a successful fundraiser of $7,000 to pay off the church's debt. This organ was renovated in 1867.
